Alumni Borrowing Now Available

The City College Libraries and the Alumni Association have agreed to extend library book borrowing privileges to members of the Alumni Association. A valid CCNY Alumni Association membership card and photo ID are necessary to borrow. For more information, call 212-650-7155.

Help Victims of Hurricane Ike in Haiti — Donate by Sept. 23!

The City College Librararies, the Haitian Students Association and the Dominican Students Association are accepting donations for the victims of Hurricane Ike. The following items and/or any monetary donations will be collected in Cohen Library, Science/Engineering Library and NAC Rotunda and sent to Haiti through the Governor’s Office and the Brooklyn Armory.

Bottled water — 6 pk or case
Bags of rice and beans
Sterno canisters
Tarps of any size, preferably 10×10 feet or larger.
100 foot rolls of nylon cord
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, mild soaps
New hand towels
New underclothes — childrens sizes.

Monetary donations may be given to Denisse Pena, Treasurer, Dominican Students Association, room 4/102 from 9 – 5.

New CWE Library

Now that a full-time librarian and new furniture have arrived, we formally announce our newest branch library — the Center for Worker Education Library. The Library is at 25 Broadway on the 7th floor. Asst. Prof. Seamus Scanlon is the Librarian in charge, and reference assistance is available at 212-925-6625 x228.
