Chinese Anti-Malaria Poster Exhibit

2092tThe anti-malaria posters in this online exhibit chronicle the national campaign that China used from the 1950s through the 1970s. The campaign was a rousing success, lowering the rate of infection by 99%. From the National Library of Medicine History of Medicine Division, this exhibit is curated by Chinese public health historian Dr.  Liping Bu. Check it out!

Exhibit Profiles African American Surgeons

exhibit “Opening Doors: Contemporary African American Academic Surgeons” is on view in the Cohen Library Atrium through October 28. The exhibition, developed by the National Library of Medicine and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture, celebrates the achievements of the contributions of African American academic surgeons to medicine and medical education.
