CCNY Joins IDS Project

The CCNY Libraries are now part of the Information Delivery Services Project, a mutually supportive resource-sharing cooperative within New York State. There are currently 51 member libraries with collections totaling more than 32 million volumes, all dedicated to sharing their collections with all our users. One of the major goals of the IDS Project is to reduce the turnaround time from request to delivery. Nearly 82% of all article requests are in the user’s hands within 48 hours.

Bookmarked — an adventure in Cohen Library

An opinion piece in this week’s issue of The Campus.

It is a Wednesday; I have a three hour break between classes, and to avoid actual school work I decide to go on an adventure to Cohen Library. My plan is to go on an expedition through the literature stacks, wrangle a volume of poetry, and spend my afternoon steeped in metaphor. Read more…[signup required]

Latinos in the U.S.: ¬°Presente!

This current Cohen Library exhibit highlights the diverse Latino immigrant groups that have contributed to the rapidly growing Spanish-speaking demographic in the U.S.  It runs through June 10 in the Cohen Library Atrium.

Sci-Tech Database of the Month

City College provides access to all of the scholarly journals published by the American Chemical Society (ACS), one of the leading publishers of peer-reviewed research journals in the chemical and related sciences. All ACS journals are in the database, including those which have undergone title changes or ceased publication. The full range of years of publication is available, from the late 1800s to the present. Click on the ACS Publications logo to access this database.
