And now, LibX for Google Chrome

The CCNY LibX Toolbar is now available for Google Chrome, in a beta version.  To get it, open up the Chrome browser and paste this link in the url box:  http://libx.org/releases/gc/libx2-latest.crx. A prompt will appear at the bottom of the screen, asking if you would like to install the extension. Once you do that, choose “CCNY Libraries Edition” when asked.

Firefox 4.0 and the LibX Toolbar

Firefox 4.0 was released on March 22nd.  When you upgrade, don’t forget to take the CCNY Library LibX Toolbar with you.  Our toolbar is now compatible with FF4.0 so just follow the add-on instructions to get it when you install the browser software.

Göbekli Tepe Exhibit Opens

The discovery of the complex of Göbekli Tepe has begun a complete alteration of what we thought we knew of our ancestors, and not just in the area of archeology. The dates when man began to worship, began gathering in Neolithic societies, and began domesticating livestock and farming all might revolve around the findings at Göbekli Tepe.

The exhibit in the Cohen Library Atrium will be on view through June 8.

CCNY Women — Bring Us Your Art!

In celebration of Women’s History Month, our annual exhibition of art by women from across the campus, “CCNY Women Make Art,” will take place March 17 – 31 in the Cohen Library Archives.  The opening reception will be Thursday, March 17, from 5:30-7:30 PM.

Please bring your work to the Archives on Friday, March 11, or Monday or Tuesday, March 14 or 15, ready to hang.
